Severe Traumatic Brain Injury is one of the most frequent causes of death in traumatized patient and it may have long-term disabilities or life-long effects.

In this article, the authors offer an update of the Guidelines on the Management of Severe TBI, specifically about decompressive craniectomy, including the results of the DECRA and RESCUEicp studies.
